context: the Titan's Battalion rules

explanation underneath image

This is a Battlefield that I'm proposing be adopted as a Wild Board. It should only be used in Party Mode. An image of the Battlefield itself is provided above. The straight dark lines in the image, which are called "Steppe Paths", act like the Halls from The Palace of the Morning Calm. However, the Steppe Paths affect some Pieces that the Halls do not affect, such as the Queen from Medieval Battalion. This is because while the Halls are redundant with the Queen's existing movement, the Steppe Paths are not. The Steppe Paths only affect Pieces which can otherwise move orthogonally, so Medieval Bishops, for example, remain unaffected.

8 of the Steppe Paths connect 3 collinear points. In this case, a Rook from Medieval Battalion can move to 1 end of the Steppe Path to the other if the middle square is empty, a bit like a nightrider. The Steppe Paths wouldn't allow the Rook to continue going in the direction of the Steppe Path beyond where the line itself ends. This last part is also true of the lines that only connect 2 points, meaning Cannons from The Palace of the Morning Calm can't really use those Steppe Paths at all.

A somewhat necessary clarification is that the Steppe Paths are considered to link the centers of squares with no mind to the squares they don't go through or to the centers of. Each step from square center to next square center along the line of a Steppe Path is considered akin to a single orthogonal step, and a Piece may not stop in the middle of that step. A Piece is also not blocked anything on those intervening squares that the line doesn't go through the center of. Upon inspection, it is clear that they only link together squares in knightwise directions.
